Carrara marble is one of the most famous stone materials in the world, extracted from the Apuan Alps in Tuscany. Its history goes back to Roman times, when it was used to build temples and statues. In the following centuries it found its place in the great works of the Renaissance: Michelangelo chose the White Carrara to sculpt masterpieces such as David and Pietà. Even today, the Carrara quarries represent a reference point for the extraction and processing of precious marbles, in demand both in Italy and abroad.

Color and Veins

The typical color is white that can range from milky to light grey, enriched by more or less marked grey veins. Each variety is distinguished by intensity and arrangement of veins: some versions have a uniform appearance, others have complex designs that increase their aesthetic value. This diversity allows us to adapt Carrara marble to very different architectural styles, from
classical to minimalist.

The main types of white marble of Carrara

Carrara C White Marble

White Carrara C is the most widely used type. It has a white background tending to grey with light and regular veins. It is very appreciated for floors, cladding and kitchen tops, because it combines elegance and resistance at an affordable price compared to other more valuable variants.

Carrara C Extra White Marble

This variety is more rare and precious. It is distinguished by the more uniform white background and thin and less obvious veins. It is often used in luxury design projects and sculptures, because it offers a very elegant and refined appearance, with a color closer to pure white

White Marble CD
